NYC Vacation
Hi friends!
Thought I’d share a quick recap of our trip to NYC a couple weeks ago, featuring some of my favorite spots:
Friday
We got up bright and early at 5am to drive to the city! After we checked into the hotel, we met up with Michelina (my talented, gorgeous, and amazing cousin!) It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, so we walked all around Columbus Circle, Central Park, and Lincoln Center.
Saturday
You guys know I love my morning workouts, so I started the day off with a Cardio Burn class at P.volve with my friend Nelly. (Shoutout to her, she’s so lovely!) This class especially was super difficult and really tested my endurance!! But, the trainers and overall energy of the room is so motivating. Afterwards, we did some shopping at the Jennifer Fisher store (best hoops ever! Everyone needs a pair) and the iconic Kleinfeld Bridal. Although I’m obviously not getting married anytime soon, we got to see some beautiful, elegant, and simply exquisite dresses.
Sunday
I started Sunday off with a Strength and Sculpt class at P.volve. Afterwards, Gwen and I did some more shopping in Soho (we don’t need to talk about my credit card bills this month). To relax, we went to Bathhouse Williamsburg – an oasis inspired by Ancient Rome. Murals and mosaics line the walls of the softly-lit space, which features a treatment menu of classical and contemporary recovery practices. The centerpiece of the room is the three illuminated thermal pools (freezing cold plunge, hot tub, and thermo-neutral). Other first class amenities include a starlight steam room, tropical sauna, and infrared sauna. We also got a massage which was much-needed to release tension and alleviate sore muscles. I would highly recommend Bathhouse Williamsburg for a unique and serene spa experience.
Monday
Monday was a very exciting day for me — I went to the VaynerX/VaynerMedia/GMG office for the very first time! Although I didn’t get to meet any of my direct coworkers, I got a tour of the office from my friend. As I was looking out at the gorgeous views of the city, I had a “pinch me” type of moment where all this gratitude came flooding through me and I wanted to cry because I am so grateful for where I am right now (thank you, thank you, thank you, times a million for everyone who helped me get to where I am!)
That night, Gwen and I had dinner with a very special friend of ours at Catch, and then went to a rooftop bar and to see the stunning nighttime views of the city.
Tuesday
After a very late night on Monday, my last P.volve class was a Sculpt and Burn (a mix of cardio burn and strength and sculpt!) the next morning. There was even a couple of models in my class! As I was walking through Soho, post-workout class, green juice in hand, I felt fabulous. But also very sad because it was our last day.
And after the long drive back, I write this blog post from my desk at home, working remotely, hoping I’ll be in the city again soon!
